A few weeks ago, I attended an open call for Broadway replacements for Spring Awakening. I got there an hour before the auditions started, only to find out I was number 187 in line! After waiting for 7 hours to sing (they only had ONE audition room. ONE!), I complained and complained at the large turnout.
Well, on April 29, 1,200 people showed up to an open call in New York. People began lining up at 1AM for the audition. Luckily they were broken down into groups, given a return time, and then typed out. That didn't happen in LA.
I just hope they had more than one audition room! 'Cause otherwise, the auditions would STILL be going!
