TMZ & People turn American Idol into a soap!

TMZ has been turning around all of these rumors about the contestants on AI to make tabloids. And People Magazine has a feature on their website called "American Idol: What You Didn't See" that gives backstage gossip about the stuff that you see behind the cameras. I think it's amazing that AI contestants are starting to be followed by paparazzi and have tabloid stories contrived about them. Then again, I'm sure at this point in their careers they are enjoying the attention. I give it two weeks.

For starters, TMZ is making Chris Richardson out to be a big partier, and claims he's taking Blake Lewis down with him. They were spotted coming out of a club over the weekend, and Chris hammed it up while Blake was discreet. Funny, because I read in Entertainment Weekly that Blake was the partier. He said producer's tried to punish him for breaking their curfew by making him perform last the next week, which is actually the best spot to perform. What a slap on the wrist, Nigel!

Then there's a TMZ scandal that claims Chris and Lauren Conrad (who allegedly shows the camera her 'Hills' in a sex tape with her ex-boyfriend and drunk fuck-up Jason) are an item. LC was heard playfully talking to someone on her cellphone, and moments later Chris comes up and greets her before they disappear into a club. Wow, that means they MUST be engaged!

In the People issue which features the top 10 AI contestants, Chris is rumored to be dating a girl from the top 24 whose name I don't remember (but does it really matter?).

People also has a blurb in their "What You Didn't See" column about Blake blowing a kiss to Antonella Barber, who was in the audience last night, Antonella blowing one back to Blake, and Blake catching it and holding it close to his heart. Aaawwww, Blake has a crush on the slut of the season. Hey, at least he's playing like a celebrity and starting rumors with one of the trashier girls from the show!

So, instead of commenting on the tabloid rumors, I am pretty much just fueling them here. But hey, if they're about my two leading men, Blake and Chris, bring 'em on!
